| Different forms and various shapes appear as we contemplate
architectural illustration - conveying a feeling܂ There are
sharp edges‚ and īthere are curved ones‚ and pointed rooftops
and flat ones܂ The original illustration ītells īthe beginning
of a story܂ As you flip īthrough īthe pages‚ īthe inside comes
alive‚ and īthe outside dresses it all܂ When using different materials‚ other feelings and moods will surface܂ Brick is serious‚ uniform‚ set exactly evenly܂ There is no room for much variation܂ It is classic and strong܂ Wood is soft‚ and it gives a warmer feeling܂ Stucco coverings are very uncertain and uneven܂ They will be colored afterward īto finish īthe effect܂ Stone is sometimes uneven all over a building܂ Although it needs īto be matched‚ so īthat angles can look like īthey fit ītogether‚ īthey are not so uniform܂ There is much variation‚ and a lot īto look at and take in with raw stone in īthe architecture܂ The height of a building states its grandeur܂ As it ītowers over us‚ we have īthe feeling īthat it sees all‚ perhaps knows all܂ There is also a desire īthat one gets‚ īto get īto īthe ītop‚ īto see what it sees܂ Cone shaped roofs give a sense of comfort‚ and īthat īthere is safety inside܂ A flatter rooftop stands stubbornly‚ unaffected܂ The pitch of certain roofs convey īthe idea īthat nothing can ītouch it‚ and indeed‚ it is usually created īthat way for īthe weather elements in the region܂ The illustrations īthat an architect creates portrays īthe skeleton of a building܂ When all illustrations are put ītogether‚ īthe body of it becomes real and alive܂ All of īthe shapes become connected܂ The inside is understood‚ along with all of īthe infrastructure܂ And īthe outside is īthe final dressing īto īthe creation܂ The exterior drawings convey a feeling‚ a mood īthat others will also feel from īthe architectural illustration - conveying a feeling܂ |
