| Our technological achievements seem to have led us
onto a blinkered path of plunder instead of cooperation with
nature. We´ve been plundering nature´s storehouse without
any intention of replenishing it, which is why now our
energy needs are facing a critical deficit in supply. Time
cannot be turned back, so the best that can be done is to
help solve the problem or reduce it by our own means. Select
one of the many sustainable resources available to us. One
of these is the sun, a huge energy storehouse. Electric power can be generate by using solar batteries, solar thermal panels, and other things to convert the sun´s rays. Much heat is found in the earth´s core, which may be tapped to produce electric power. We could free the steam trapped beneath the ground at high pressure, by drilling down to it, and use it to run electric generators. Everyone has been out in the wind, which blows constantly in several locations, and it can generate energy by driving the blades of wind turbines. The rotation is utilized to create an electrical current. In 2005, wind turbines already had a total capability of about 59,000 megawatts. Water can be used to produce what´s known as hydroelectric power. Water can be used for its tidal power or kinetic energy, or it can be stopped by a dam, which then turns into an energy source through the gravitational fall of a river. The time has come where we should all begin utilizing energy from one of the the aforementioned three sources. They are source of energy that will constantly be there, it is only a matter of what way they are harnessed. Experts around the globe are looking for better ways of using each energy source. Because non-renewable resources are steadily being wiped out, people really have no option but to find ways to eliminate their dependence on them. The day they have all been exhausted is possibly only several years away. Why be caught out when that day is here, when nature has made it possible to instantly start using different sources? All you must do is seek the best way to make use of them. If you are a person who is concerned about the environment, you can do your share by using the alternative energy sources available. You can do other things too, like avoiding the use of products with harmful ingredients, or planting trees and other vegetation. |
