As many of the marketing experts argue that the marketing is a much larger concept than that of the advertising. If one starts marketing plan with the advertising, instead of building the christian church will end up standing in between nothing even after wasting a lot of money. And as they say one that can not be measured, can not be improved upon. Hence, it becomes all the more plain for the church marketing plan to have the strong marketing foundation to first solve the internal issues and a precise measurement of the same. By measurement of the achievements, often most churches look at the shallow depth of the growth. The church outreach and growth is only limited to the increase in the number of people, who are coming to the church as the members, instead it includes the increase in the interest level of the society and the satisfaction level among the clergy. The church can measure all these changes by seeing how much is the increase in the participation of people in the various christian church activities and how many more hours of volunteers has the church got. The church can always talk to the members and find out the satisfaction level they are enjoying. In this way, the christian church keeps on getting the feedbacks and the suggestions to improve upon. The improvement here is the on going process which will never stop. If at any level the christian church will free that it has improved a lot and there is no need of the further changes, after some time, the christian church find itself among the bottom in the ranking list and the list of the preferences of the people. Also, if the clergy will be increasing in the knowledge and the communication with the god, it will show in the satisfaction level. The after effects can also be the more caring and love for the society. To measure all this, the church prior to launching any marketing plan, first has to prepared the goals and then decide the goals according to the time. That means, it is basic to attain each goal in a specific period of time. This is where most of the churches fall. They either don’t ready the goals with the time frame or set too ambitious goals, which are hard to achieve. As the result, the frustration level in the christian church goes up and the feeling of failure sets in. to achieve goals, it is equally necessary to keep the church motivated and positive while working on the plan. Making a plan of his kind is necessary. Set the goal and break it into the 5-6 steps. Decide the time which the church needs depending on the manpower and the resources it has. Now, ready the time for the completion of each step and write in at the end of the step. By this way, if at any point the church wants to evaluate the results, it can immediately do that by looking at how many steps have been achieved and at all are left. For an instance, if three out of six are achieved, the success rate is fifty per cent. |
