Joint venture marketing goes beyond the business aspect of the partnership. It focuses more on responding to customer needs and how your products or service can be of help to your target audience.

Why should you engage in joint ventures? There are things that this kind of marketing can give. The reputation as well as consumer confidence can be greatly improved. Even if you go into a partnership, you can still have your own identity. This is a partnership. So, both parties have much to offer to each other as well as to help in each other's weaknesses and to benefit from each other's strengths.

Once you have decided that this is partnership is what your business needs, you can search for potential partners. Make sure though that you have something to offer in the table, your business should also be marketable enough for other businesses to consider you as a possible partner. For this is a give and take relationship and not one sided. This is to benefit both not to benefit one party only.

Take note of the following important factors when you are in a joint venture. First, you must agree on your decisions and choices. You must come up with mutual decisions which do not conflict with both of your businesses interest. Second, the business of both parties must have something to offer to each other. Both should benefit each other, no matter how small your business may be as long as you are important and helpful to each other, it does not matter.
