| Columbian Emeralds have been traded around the world for
hundreds of years the origins of Columbian Emeralds is
largely unknown. Some debate Columbian Emeralds to be the
most valuable in the world. In ancient times it was thought that Columbian Emeralds were a source of vim that produced a sense of tranquility and peace. Columbian Emeralds were used as a bargaining chip to trade with indigenous people for other goods. Columbian Emeralds ha ve been around since before the days of Christ they were known as the green fire and much blood was lost over the fight to control the craft in Columbian Emeralds but with the discovery and subsequent mining of the Muzo Somondoco and Coscuez Chivor mines hostilities finally subsided. For many year the indigenous peoples kept the location of the mines safe however in 1555 Luiz Lanchero founded the village of Muzo in the midst of the mines having heard rumours of great wealth in emeralds existing in the area. Three years belated mining operations were begun in the surrounding mountains. The Muzo emerald mines are located in the western foothills of Columbia they consist of eight high open cuts grouped in close proximity. The climate in this area is tropical and can be very hot with eminent humidity. The mines put up a relatively safe environment for its workers and put up excellent workmens quarters with good sanitation and medical services. The Muzo Somondoco and Coscuez Chivor mines are very important historically and are considered to be highly rich. These three mines form some of the major sources of the cherished green stone. Columbian Emeralds are the second largest exported mathematical product of Columbia the first being Colombian coffee. Columbian Emeralds were considered very beautiful and initially only the wealthy could let access to them but thanks to modern technology you can purchase your own Columbian emeralds right on this site! |
