Start Your Company At Home

The economic downturn left many people thinking about what they wanted from life and just how they wanted to work. People found themselves unemployed for perhaps initially in their career and for many it was a chance to reconsider how they were living and whether they wanted to try something different.

The idea of self-employment, being master of your own destiny, appeals to many. Being your own boss, working when you choose and having much more control over your own life is something many individuals want to but relatively few dare to reach for.

Yet, those daring few are an inspiration to the rest of us. They've chosen to invest their time and their
money into the uncertainty of going into business for themselves. They have taken a significant risk by avoiding the well-trodden path to employment and seeking instead the rockier road of generating an income
without the support of a business or a corporation behind them.

Numerous brave adventurers are not serial entrepreneurs who produce a career out of founding one business
after another. They're ordinary people who've chosen to opt out of the world of employment in a bid to find the satisfaction and freedom of running their own business.

They come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are mothers who want to develop a job that fits around their role as a carer. Some are people who want to turn a hobby into a way of generating revenue. Others are individuals who've been frustrated by the organizations they've worked for and believe they can do it better by themselves.

Whatever their motivation, these new entrepreneurs have one thing in common. They're willing to pour huge amounts of their own time into the foundations of a business that they hope will see them through many years to come. Despite working what may seem to be longer hours than the average employee, their job satisfaction is much higher because they know they're building something for themselves, not for someone else.
