| When most people get started in a network marketing business
as a new mlm distributor, the first place they look for
advice and training is their sponsor and their company. Your
sponsor signed you up, and the company wants you to sell
more products, so they have a vested interest in you making
money, right? Well, that’s only partly true. Firs of all, your company isn’t really concerned with you making money…They only want you as an mlm distributor to sell more of their products so THEY can make money. The training they provide always will be strongly company focused – how to sell more of THEIR products, not how to grow your bottom line. Network marketing companies do what they can to help you grow your down line within their company, but they don’t really care if your business grows. Your sponsor pretty much just wants you to grow your down line, too. The have no vested interest in anything else, so they are going to do their best to: #1 keep you involved as long as possible so you keep buying product, and #2 help you get more mlm distributors in THEIR down line. Both companies and sponsors have a singular goal that is not in complete alignment with YOUR goal. So what exactly is your business? And what should your goals be? YOU are your business. You are the asset, you are the liability, and you are what will facilitate all the growth, and your goals probably have something to do with putting the most money in your pocket and building a long term income. There is a saying in this industry, “The money is in the list.” Your list of opt in email subscribers is the most VALUABLE asset any mlm distributor can build. What a new mlm distributor needs to focus on ANY activities that will help them grow your list of opt in subscribers. There is a reason for this. These people have agreed to receive emails from you, so they already have an interest in you and what you have to offer. Most people that are interested in network marketing are also interested in other things that will help them make more money with their businesses. The more people you have on your list, the more people will be reading your offers – INCLUDING your emails and sales letters about joining your company.
