Apple has announced the iPhone 4 which is a milestone in Mobile Application Development pre-order and release dates in various parts of the world. According to the announcement, Apple will release the device in more than 20 countries in September of this year which means that Vodafone will introduce iPhone 4 to India in September. It’s also being expected that along with the release, Vodafone will announce some new offers to promote iPhone 4 sell. The price of iphone expected to be little bit on a higher side. The exact iphone prices are not yet announced but they should be around the prices that the 16GB version of iPhone 4 will come with a price tag of Rs. 35,000 whereas the 32GB version will be tagged at a price of Rs. 41,500 in India. Apple is mum on when it will release the iPhone 4 in India, but we can expect it to hit the black markets in some time. Blackberry still remains the number one smartphone in India. The iPhone is sold legally at an astronomical price, thus encouraging people to buy it from grey markets. Features of iphone4: • With a 3.5 inch, 960×640 pixel resolution, this baby has the ability to display high definition videos. With a new feature called retina display, Jobs claims that you would love to watch anything on it. • The camera has been upgraded to 5MP with LED flash, the lens visibly bigger than the previous models. It also sports a front facing camera for video conferencing. • At 0.37 inches thick, it is 24% slimmer than the previous model. • Rumors of Apple introducing a white iPhone turned out to be true, with the iPhone now being available in two colours. • Dual microphones will help in noise cancellation. I was fascinated with the accelerometer function when it was introduced. • The new iPhone has a 3 axis gyroscopic sensor which heralds in an altogether different gaming experience. This will really make gaming a surreal experience, with advertisers and marketers also realizing the potential of this new feature. • Behind the hood, you have the Apple A4 processor replacing the earlier Samsung processor. • The new OS, dubbed iOS4 features multi-tasking along with other improvements. Steve Jobs speculated that there is huge market potential for iAds, calling it ‘mobile ads with emotion’. |
