A large office will have many different employees working for it in various capacities. As part of their tasks and duties, these employees may need uninterrupted access to the internet. With several different employees using a variety of different computers, it would not be feasible to have an individual modem running a hard wire to each and every system. Instead, a router will be employed to connect the computers to a single network in the office.

There are two different types of routers commonly used. The first would be a traditional hardwire router and the other would be a wireless option. Conventional wisdom dictates that wireless routers are the best ones for a large office, but is this really the case?

The truth is that it would be quite difficult to argue with this logic. The mere fact that the system lacks bulky wires and cables is its most obvious benefit. A classic wired network will require the physical use of wires and cables to deliver a networked platform. To say this can create a lot of clutter and even confusion would be an understatement.

To reduce the problems associated with hardwiring, it may become necessary to rework the office so that it can accommodate the various wires. Doing so can require the drilling of holes through walls in order to run the network wires to different rooms and floors. Does this sound like an easy process? It is neither an easy process nor a cheap one. Professionals will need to be hired to perform these tasks and it can be very costly, to say nothing of the time commitment and disruptions involved.

With wireless routers, all of these steps and their resultant complexities can be avoided. After all, wireless routers are just that – wireless. That means they do not require any of the extra costly and cumbersome steps associated with running a hardwired system.

A wireless network allows a business to run the Internet through the entirety of an office without any hassles. Laptops and computers can be used anywhere in the office and will be able to connect to the wireless signal. In addition to the obvious benefit of the aforementioned clutter being removed, you also have greater mobility with the computer setup since the computers do not need to be in the proximity of a hardwire access point. As long as the wireless router properly feeds the Internet signal to a receiver, access to the internet becomes available.

All that the computers would need is an installed network card. The bulk of the laptops on the market today come with a network card. Personal computers would usually require the installation of the network card which is a simple process.

The benefits to having a wireless network router are pronounced. Such a router is both easier to install and access. Those two benefits alone can prove to be a great help to any office in need of a reliable and expansive Internet signal.
