HP 1215 toner The HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer is a small printer that is easy to maintain and products high quality text documents. It is adequate for home and small office use, simple flyers, marketing materials, and text documents where printing volumes are limited. Pros • Easy to set up • Small and lightweight (39 pounds) • Easy maintenance Cons • No built-in networking; no Wi-Fi • Manual duplexing • Pretty slow • No Mac support Features The HP Color LaserJet CP1215 is a simple, single-function laser printer designed for small businesses and homes. It is encased in light grey and white sturdy exterior, and has a simple control panel featuring buttons for paper feed and job cancel, and a range of indicator lights. This color printer has slower printing speeds; 8 pages per minute color and 12 ppm monochrome and at a fixed resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. With the manual color options, four color or black neutral grays can be chosen to save ink, but there´s no way to adjust the resolution of the prints. The text printed is very sharp and easily legible; even the smallest of fonts. However, the colors printed are darker than on the computer screen. On the default setting, the color was a little too dark. It boasts an ‘Instant-on’ technology that allows for faster start-up when resuming from PowerSave mode; it just requires 30 seconds from sleeping to printing. The software driver is very easy to install also they are on the CD, although Linux drivers are available for download. There’s no OSX drivers available for this machine, on the software CD or on the support site. The HP CP1215 Color LaserJet Printer has a slow printing speed and doesn’t have network connectivity options. But if you have basic color printing needs then this printer is the most affordable option. A set of Original HP Color LaserJet toner cartridges may cost up to $76 less than re-manufactured cartridges when you figure in the costs of reprinting pages that don´t meet business customers´ standards for outside distribution |
