| During bikini swimwear season, some women get excited while
others get worried. The fact is that most of us don't really
look all that great in the swimsuit, but really, it's not
your fault, it's not that you're bad looking or that you're
out of shape, it's just that most women don't know how to
flatter what they got, so they instead hope to hide what
they lack. This is the wrong way to go about it. Here's how
you can look good for bikini season. Step One Accept that all women are beautiful. Not all women conform to the most traditional ideals of beauty, but all women are beautiful, all women have something about them that is attractive and wonderful. The crazy thing is that very few women are capable of seeing how beautiful they truly are. Heck, look at Audrey Hepburn. Maybe the prettiest girl in the history of Hollywood, but she always thought of herself as really goofy looking. The women who seem most full of themselves, even, are typically the ones who spend the most time in the mirror feeling down and looking at their flaws. This is important, you need to accept that you're beautiful, because if you don't, how are you going to accentuate and capitalize on it? Step Two Flatter, don't hide. If you have great legs, show them off. If you have a really nice hourglass figure, show it off. If you have well toned muscles, wear a suit that's low cut in the back. If you have gorgeous red hair, wear a color that flaunts that. Don't worry about the little things here and there that you don't like about yourself. Put that garbage out of your mind right this minute, because hiding what you're ashamed of is no way to go through life. So flaunt what you got, and don't worry about what you don't. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Step Three Okay, now you may want to get a wax. Yes, every woman is beautiful, but Gene Shallit isn't. If not a wax, you could grab one of those bikini shaving kits. If you've had trouble with those icky red bumps in the past, a good way to get around that is to take a warm, wet washcloth and let it soak the area for a little while before shaving, or to take a nice hot bath. This softens the skin there and sort of loosens up the hair so that it comes out easy with no red bumps, no irritation, and no drying out. What it really comes down to, though, is just finding a swimsuit that you like. Something that catches your eye, something that you'll be happy to look at yourself in. So you don't think it'll appeal to men too much. Who cares what men think about it? Just find a bikini that you love and wear it. At the end of the day, the only person you ever need to worry about making happy, when it comes to personal appearance, is yourself. |
