Turning heads since its invention, two piece swimwear is a popular and bold choice when it comes to deciding what to wear at the pool or beach. It’s fun and easy to wear as long as you have the confidence.

The bikini is by far the most frequently seen style of two piece swimwear. It’s known for its revealing cut and exciting designs. Not all bikinis have to be revealing, though. There are many styles of bikini that are appropriate for all women, whether they want to show some skin or cover up a bit.

There are limitless options when it comes to customizing two piece swimwear. You get to choose a pattern, color, and style for both the top and bottom. This is why bikinis are so great for people who are indecisive about their clothing. Each piece is a chance to create a new design. You can even purchase multiple tops and bottoms to provide yourself with many different mix and match choices.

We’ll start with bikini tops. The cut of a bikini top is the most important thing about it. Triangle and halter tops are the most common. They’re flattering on most women, which is an important thing to consider when choosing any kind of clothing. Bandeau tops are more unique and have a somewhat retro style, but they don’t fit all women well. There’s something out there for everyone. As long as you choose a top that fits well and that you’re comfortable in, you’ll look great.

Bikini bottoms are even more complex. There are so many styles of bottoms that some don’t even have names. Coverage varies a lot when it comes to bikini bottoms, so always pay attention to the cut to make sure you don’t end up with more or less fabric than you bargained for. String bikinis are popular, but these don’t provide much coverage. The other end of the spectrum is skirted bottoms and boyshorts. These are more modest but just as cute. Bikini bottoms often have embellishments like beads and chains in addition to bright colors and patterns.

There are other options in two piece swimwear if a bikini doesn’t sound right for you. Although they’re typically considered their own categories, tankinis and skirtinis are still types of two piece swimwear. These involve a lot more fabric and coverage than bikinis, so they make a great alternative for people who feel uncomfortable showing too much skin.

Two piece swimwear shopping is a great way to start the summer. Choosing the color, pattern, and style of your swimsuit is fun and easy, and you’re guaranteed to end up with something you love.
