| It's easy to turn into a small bit paranoid when you become a victim of identity theft. You aren’t certain whether or not the credit bureaus will ever clear your record. Particularly after giving you such a hard time even after you provided them abundant evidence that the charges run up are phony. The credit agencies nevertheless are the least of Joe Salazar's concerns. It is law enforcement. As in each time he comes into contact with him Salazar finds himself behind bars. Approximately seven years ago Salazar's wallet was stolen. The person that perpetrated the crime was at last arrested but not for stealing Salazar's wallet. The thief was brought in on drug charges where he as you in all probability guessed provided authorities with Salazar's identity. The individual was convicted but never showed up for sentencing. A bench justify is released for his arrest. Five years later that bench justify would come back to haunt not the criminal but an innocent man. Namely Joe Salazar. Five years later he is driving down the path when a police officer pulls him over for speeding. Upon doing a quick background check the officer informs Salazar that he is below arrest for failure to show up for sentencing. Telling the police officer he is innocent of course doesn’t do any good. As Salazar tell Todd Cooper of World Herald News Service "I tell them You've got the incorrect guy.' But I'm certain they listen that all the time." After reviewing his fingerprints authorities at last release Salazar. It's over right? Not by a long shot. Recently Salazar's home was burglarized when he reported it to the police he found himself right back where he started. Salazar was again informed there was a bench justify for his arrest. He is booked and taken to jail where once again his fingerprints are shown not to match that of the real criminal. Again he is published. As you may imagine Salazar has had sufficient,"I've been through many stuff due to that guy. I just want it to end." Is the ordeal over? For now but you will without doubt have to think that he is not precisely out of the woods yet. Authorities on two discerned occasions ran into Salazar's fingerprints didn’t match and they still hauled him off to jail. It appears the sole way Salazar will get closure is when the real criminal is arrested. Right now it’s six years and counting. |
