An Unforgettable Train Journey to Goa from Mumbai (CST) Part1

A group of ten friends that included 3 couples were on route to spent one week in Goa. The decision to explore Goa was taken six months before when everyone was attending their friend’s marriage. The topic to explore came up when girls in the group saw guys hitting on girls who were looking pretty in the marriage. The moment they saw the guys ogling at other girls, they told that they could find better girls in Goa. It was impromptu reply from girls but the topic Goa created a stir in everyone’s mind. All decided that they need to hit Goa big time; to have some fun and enjoyment. Now the next question was when we should start the trip. As November and December are the main tourist season so they decided to go on November, 11, 2011. If you observe the date when arranged in numerals, it shows 11/11/11, a phenomenon, which will never occur in the next 100 years. To mark this date important and to do stuff on this day they were getting really excited. It was then decided to book their train booking for the date 11/11/11 at 11.11 pm from the train whose number was 101111. Coincidence it was, but they were ready to go and start their tour to Goa.
The confirmation of their accommodation was done in Hotel Graciano cottage, by way of Pancard club investment scheme. One of them had this investment from Panoramic Universal Ltd. which was utilized for this trip. A short note about what exactly is this Pancard Club Investment Scheme. Here the company Panoramic Universal Ltd. proposed any member to invest a particular amount in their investment scheme in return they will be given a guaranteed accommodation in any of their hotels across India. So they booked accommodation for four people under this investment from Panoramic Universal Ltd. Another two rooms were booked for other ten people.
The train was scheduled at 11.11 pm sharp; all of them were near the station by 9.30 pm itself. Some of them decided to have some drinks before getting in the train as we can have peaceful sleep in the train. They all got inside a pub with our luggage and started placing orders. It was only when someone shouted that it is 11.00 pm they all realized about catching the train. Only one guy stayed in the hotel and asked others to board the trains, he said that he will make the payment and would cover the distance fast and will board the train. Others quickly grabbed everything and started their run towards the station. They were just in time; the moment they boarded, the train started to move. Others were calling the guy who was supposed to make payment and board the vehicle. He was visible in the platform and he just managed to catch the last compartment of the train. All were relaxed when they came to know that he made it in the train.
He came up after ten minutes, still sweat dripping from his brow. They all had a huge laugh about the scene. It was only when the guy decided to change into shorts, they got their first shock. They forgot the guy’s luggage at the bar and now he has nothing to change in to. All were feeling very sorry as the guy had his cameras and iPod in the bag itself. They called some of the friends and arranged to get the back picked up from the restaurant.
