San Diego is a large city with over 1 million in population. It is home to some wonderful attractions. It is home to a famous marine base and naval base. The city is located right next to the Mexican border. It is a huge tourist attraction and attracts millions each year. A city like this is bound to have some crime so bail bonds San Diego gets busy.

San Diego has arguably the best weather in the world, so some may wonder what is there to be angry about to commit a crime. Believe it or not there is enough crime to go around and keep bail bonds in business. Downtown is home to several of them lined up along the street close enough to smell each others coffee. The workers there are running in and out in their suits hoping to get some lucky person out of jail.

Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. There are mostly good people in this world who do not plan on doing anything to get locked up. But, as unpredictable as life has been so far, this is also something that you cannot predict. This is not fair, but life is life and life happens.

If you are sent to jail whether your guilty or not guilty you will have to spend a minimum of 3 days there. This is if your not sent home the same night. You will have to go through the whole process of being booked including picture taken and fingerprinting. After 3 days you will have your first court date.

If you would rather not spend those three days in jail, then your best bet would be to hire a bail bondsmen. This will give you time to find a lawyer to prepare your case and spend with the family. To get out of jail you have to pay a fee or bail. The amount of your fee depends on the severity of your crime and your history. A bondsman will assist you in paying the amount.

The typical charge for a bondsman is 10% of your total bail. If yours is $2000, then youŽll pay $200. Again, the amount youŽll have to pay depends on your crime and your criminal history. If your bond is really high and you canŽt afford to pay even the 10%, a bondsman will usually work something out with you.

If you do not show up for court then you will be immediately responsible for the full amount. Make sure you understand that. Skipping out on court will cost you the full $10,000. No matter what happens to your case, you still have to pay the bondsman what you owe. If your case is dropped or dismissed, you can petition the court to get your money back.
