Can You Apply For A Payday Loan Over Email? |

There are a number of reasons why this hasn’t become a part of the application process for most companies. First and foremost of these is security. Whilst a lender can effectively control the level of protection provided on their own website, using external mail services and sending personal data could be a recipe for disaster. Archiving any such information would also need to be done in accordance with data security regulations, creating further issues for companies. As a customer, you also don’t want to be left waiting for a decision and acknowledgement of your application. When online, this is usually completed within seconds and you can find out whether you have been successful automatically. With an email, this simply wouldn’t be possible. Email is also less convenient to the applicant. After all, they would need to download the application form, fill it in, provide a short message to introduce it and follow any guidelines with regards to formatting so that the recipient is able to identify your application and process it. This adds a great deal of extra fuss and can lead to issues, particularly if you don’t complete all sections or mistakenly enter incorrect information. This is where online applications are superior. They can instantly detect when fields are completed and whether information adheres to the parameters set in the form. If you do accidentally type something in that is wrong, more often than not it will alert you and request that the details are updated before you continue. So whilst this might take seconds online, toing and froing emails between the applicant and the payday loan provider could take hours – possibly longer. If you were to apply online, you could do so at any time and still be guaranteed of an instant response. Emails will generally need to be serviced by a human operator and most will only work during standard working hours. This means that applications in the evening will have to wait for the morning to begin processing, those carried out on Sundays or public holidays could also be left unanswered until the following day too. As a result you would remove much of the immediacy and convenience that a payday loan can potentially provide. So whilst payday loans might be available to some through emails, you might want to consider whether this is the best option for you. More often than not you will need to do a follow up call just to verify details and clarify you application. There will often be delays in the processing as the company manually process your details and comes to a decision. Finally, there is a huge amount of trust involved. If you are sending over personal information, including bank details, then you want to make sure that it is going to be kept secure at all times. It’s difficult to guarantee this when emailing a company. |
