If you need money now, and it can't wait another day or two, then the quickest thing you can do is sell some stuff. Now you can go about this a few ways. You can either have a garage sale or you can jump online to sell your stuff. Each of course has their advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of having a garage sale is that you can just move everything into the garage and start selling it. The disadvantage is that you are limited to only the people in your local area which could potentially limit the amount of money you can bring in.
On the other hand, if you sell your stuff online, you will have access to million of people. This could help you sell your stuff even quicker. The one disadvantage however is that you will be responsible for shipping the items off once they sell. If you are selling heavy items such as a dresser or TV, this could be a very tough task. But if you make the money you need, it will be well worth it. I personally would go the online route. The thing is, even if you sell online, you can still specify that the items are pick up only.
That way you wouldn't have to worry about hauling things to the post office or your local UPS store. But at the same time, you are putting your items in front of a much bigger audience.
Where Should You Post Your Items Online
You can either post your items on auction style sites or classified ad sites. I would go with the classified ad sites because the costs associated with listing the item are more affordable. Usually with a classified ad site, there is just a one time fee to list the item. With an auction style site you might have to pay listing fees plus closing fees which can quickly add up.
