Pour the water that has remained. Take a teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/3 cup of butter, some low fat milk and ? teaspoon of nutmeg put them into the yams and then mash them thoroughly. The last ingredient to be thrown into the mixture should be the mixture so that the curdling of the milk when it comes in contact with the yams is avoided. Depending on what works best for you, you can decide to use a big spoon, potato masher, or a mixer to mash the yams.

Take up some olive oil, nutmeg and cinnamon plus the yams and have them put in a plastic bag and shaken thoroughly. Have the yams spread out on some baking sheet and allow them to bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
