Gourmet food business in the United States has come a long way over the years. The high-quality ingredients like fresh vegetables, butter, wine, spices, cheese and olives, coupled with sophistication and presentation of cuisines has made the gourmet industry highly successful in providing first-rate quality food in the country.
With the start of the new millennium, the gourmet market trend escalated in the United States and a number of gourmet delicatessens have mushroomed across country due to factors like the globalization of taste, better incomes, and nutritional concerns among the people. Gourmet delis cater to different taste buds with premium quality food. Most delis provide all the three service to the customers; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many of them offer to-go, delivery and catering services too.
People love to relish on delicacies like omelettes and griddles like French toasts, crispy bread, deli sandwiches, and over-flowing salads with fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and dipping. Delicious lasagna, scrumptious pizzas, bagels, chicken and vegetable wraps, beef and chicken roasts topped with dainty sauces, and mouth-watering sea foods are found on almost every other menu. Apart from the regular meals, most delis also offer delectable desserts like rich cakes, pancakes, muffins, éclair, brownies, custards, pudding and pies. Moreover, most delis offer vegetarian, kids’ meal as well as healthy food as a separate menu. Kid’s menus typically include hamburgers and cheese burgers, grilled cheese, nuggets etc.
Gourmet delis have sprung up in almost every shopping centre across US, because people are becoming fonder of eating rich, ethnic food, with fresh and rich ingredients and give their taste buds a whole new experience every time they eat it and the trend seems to continue in the coming times.
