The chances are that you will be drinking alcohol this Christmas. However, if you are a cocktail lover you need to beware. Traditional cocktails can contain more than 600 calories a glass which means that just 2 glasses can take you over the 1,000 calorie mark. Fortunately, if you get a little creative you can still make a tasty drink that is low in calories. In this article I will help you do just that by listing 4 low calorie cocktails which are all under 200 calories.

1) BLUEBERRY-LIME MARGARITA:

To make the blueberry-lime margarita you will need; 100 millilitres (ml) of blueberry juice, a pinch of salt, 50 grams (g) of crushed ice, 100g of frozen blueberries, 30ml of limeade (you can get this in most supermarkets), 10ml of lime juice, 1 lime wedge, 30ml of sparkling water and 40ml of tequila.

To begin making it place the frozen blueberries, ice, blueberry juice, limeade, lime juice, sparkling water and tequila into a blender and blend until all the ingredients are smooth. Next take a cocktail glass, rub its rim with the lime wedge and dip it in the salt. Finally, pour the blended cocktail into the glass and enjoy.
