Why Metabolism Increases and Why It Decreases

Exercising and working out to gain muscle is a great way to give your metabolism a boost. The more muscular a person is and the more toned those muscles are, the more calories the body will burn which means a higher metabolism.

What about genetics? What role does genetics play in metabolism? Typically much of our body's weight, frame, and metabolism does come from our parents.

When you consider nutrition, vitamins, the way the thyroid functions, in what manner the endocrine system function, and how all parts work as one for metabolism and energy levels, you need to realize it all has to do with the calories that you take in.

Everybody's metabolism is different. No one metabolizes food exactly the same as someone else so no two people have the same exact metabolism. You can compare that to your fingerprint there is a different fingerprint for each and everyone and that goes the same with metabolism. It is essential to realize this so you know what changes you have to make in order to sustain your metabolism at a healthy state. Make sure you know how muscle mass and fat levels are part of the metabolism because it affects the energy levels a person contains. All of these elements work together so they must be addressed and can be addressed to increase energy levels, which in turn can mean feeling better physically as well as mentally and emotionally. Do you think this will be fairly easy for you to follow?

For some, their metabolism is just naturally high. The body of these people quickly burns the fat from the foods they eat. On the other hand there are people whose metabolism is so slow that the fat seems to always be there and not get burned off. The people who are thin those are the ones whose calories usually get burned of quickly and vice versa for slow metabolism the extra weight gets packed on. And when a person's metabolism is high or fast, they have more energy and typically just feel better. That food that they're eating is used properly and for maximum benefit and energy. Those with low or slow metabolism feel just as slow as the metabolism itself! This means very little energy and without energy, they often have no motivation to make changes either.

The only way to solve this issue would be to sustain a healthy weight and to do that you need to know what foods to eat and when to eat them. The calories we take in versus the calories we need is an important factor in this.

For a healthy metabolism it is important that you maintain your requried daily nutrition. Calories taken in versus calories burned is a delicate balance and it needs proper attention or it gets out of balance very easily Typically these imbalances are inherited right along with one's metabolism, which then affects the body's weight and a person's level of energy as well.

Achieving balance is not impossible. It is essential to know that everybody has their own needs to maintain a healthy weight.
