Cafe Furniture

When designing a coffee bar or new cafe, you need to think about the type of cafe furniture you want to use. Depending on the theme of your cafe, you will need to decide what suits you and your customers tastes. This means thinking about the location, if you are in a hip area, choose hip decor and furniture. If you are in a more classical area, then a hip theme may not be appreciated, so try something more traditional.

Those who want to go for a retro theme, will need to think about colours of their cafe. Red is usually a good one, but you need to be careful not to over do it and use it too much. So using a chocolate and cream background, with soft leather chairs and accessories, will make your cafe look chic, yet retro.

Other cafe furniture, like tables, come in various colours, shapes and sizes. Round or square tables will depend on the space you are working with; round tables are the typical shape for a cafe, fitting about four chairs around them. Light coloured wooden tables and chairs look modern, and the wood makes it an easy material to wipe off spills.

Some cafes include a relaxing area, which consist of leather sofas and a small wooden coffee table in between. These areas usually accommodate Wi-Fi users, somewhere they can relax with a coffee, while catching up on their emails. Furniture should be darker in colour so that any marks are concealed, as these areas are popular.

Cafe furniture is entirely down to the design of the cafe and the preference of the designer, from modern to traditional, anything is possible.
