CHOOSING A TODDLER BED SET FOR YOUR LITTLE GIRL

So it's time for your little girl to sleep in bed and get her first real bed set. She probably has a good idea of what she wants that bed to look like. Naturally, you'll want to get her the right bed set, because this will encourage her to stay in her own bed--always a challenge when making the transition from crib to bed.

Before you go out and buy the first one she likes, think about the following things:

1. The look. Of course, the most important thing to her is the way that the bed set looks. She may want it to be a particular color or to have one of her favorite characters on it. No matter what her preferences are, it's smart to let her get a design that she likes.
2. Staying power. Kids are fickle. One minute, a certain character is popular and the next minute it's someone else. You want that bed set to last a long time and not have her begging for a new one in just a few months.
3. Warmth. Depending on the climate where you live, you may need a warmer bed set--Alaskan residents have wildly different requirements than Florida residents, for example. Look for something that can serve well in both winter and summer. Remember that if you have to, you can add additional blankets to make it warmer in the winter.
4. Price. Budget-conscious parents don't need to worry about breaking the bank. You can take her to discount stores to find her bed set. She won't know that there are so many other choices. Alternatively, you can ask her about the type of bed set that she wants and then search for good deals online.
5. Color. Unless you want to completely remodel her room, you need to purchase a bed set that matches the current color of your walls. If you are currently renovating her room to fit the bed set you are buying, consider the color of the walls for the next one. Neutral colors may work best.

Now that you've considered these things and asked your daughter what kind of bed set she wants, it's up to you to shop around and find the best deal. You may find that the same bed set has different prices depending on the store that you buy it from. Look online to compare costs and you'll be able to get the bed set that she wants at the lowest possible price.
