| A meeting among the worldīs countries called a climate
summit started off in Cancun, Mexico on Monday. Most
analysts donīt expect the Cancun climate summit to result in
a serious international understanding on how to package with
climate change. The truth that the United Nations has failed
to bring developing and developed countries together on
climate change leads many to assume the Cancun summit is
absolutely nothing but 'climate change theater.' climate change being procrastinated What the world will do with climate change can be determined by the Cancun climate summit. Any kind of repeat of last Decemberīs Copenhagen climate summit can be good. There will likely be less done about climate change. The Copenhagen Accord was a last-minute non-deal that avoided the problem of carbon emission reductions. Instead of an agreement for mandatory emissions reductions, the Copenhagen Accord merely stated that both developed and developing countries ought to share with the world what they plan to do about climate change -- which so far has been absolutely nothing. Repairing the problem not really as much of a concern as determining who did it Chances of a legally binding climate change treaty emerging from the Cancun climate summit are seen by analysts as remote at best. The deals at Copenhagen made by China makes the United States blame China. China, in turn, blames the United States. Developing nations say the carbon emissions crisis was caused by centuries of industrialization by developed nations, and it is their issue to solve. Developed countries want a compromise. Both developed and undeveloped countries have lost confidence within the ability of the United Countries to play a meaningful role. China repairing things while United States of America performs The Copenhagen Accord failed. This didnīt stop clean energy from getting into China. Solar panels and wind turbines are manufactured in China a lot more than other things. It seems the country is going to be on top with other things also. Clean coal technology and efficient nuclear reactors are on that list. The U.S. will not be able to do anything with the Cancun climate summit thinking about the Republican House changes completely in 2011 while the United States U.S. senate stopped the carbon sector to curb emissions.
