A BJJ Gi is an essential part of every fighter´s kit. There are people who prefer to own more than one outfit. In order to get an outfit that fits you perfectly and matches your fighting style you can opt for a custom fit kimono. There are a number of factors that determine what outfit you finally end up with.

When one plans to buy a custom made outfit they need to know what their measurements are. You should never try to take these measurements personally because they will not be accurate. The salesperson at the outlet will be willing to help out with the measurements if there is no one else to take them.

You are the one that gets to choose how the kimono will look like since you will be the one wearing it. None of the jackets made for the fighters have seams or joints. This is because they need a lot of freedom in their movements. The trousers come in rip stop and cotton drill.

The outfits are made from loose cut and competition cut designs. The competition cut is meant for people who prefer the tailored fit. Its back shirt and trousers are shorter. In order to get a loose fitting outfit choose the loose cut. When you wear the competition cut your opponent is left with less material to hold on to so they cannot control you. The loose cut gives someone extra room to move about when changing moves.

When making a purchase you need to think about the fabric of choice. There are people who go for single weave because of various reasons. This fabric is lightweight and worn during the hot weather. When one is fighting in a competition they are advised to use this fabric.

The single weave does not shrink because of washing. Gold and double weave fabrics are not a good option because they are heavy, they shrink and are uncomfortable. It is possible for someone to order their outfit using this fabric if they want to. Pearl weave has begun finding favor with most fighters because it is comfortable, lightweight and resistant to shrinking. It is ideal for heavy training and fighting.

Be sure to take into account other factors as well. The lapels were mostly made from cotton but manufacturers are now shifting to rip stop. This is because they are long lasting and strong. You can either go for cotton or rubber lining for the lapels.

When one is being economical or want to minimize costs they can go for cotton lining. Rubber is a better option since it takes longer before losing its shape. Kimonos made from rubber lining dry faster than the ones made of cotton. Round rope and flat cotton twill can be used for the waist drawstrings. People use the flat cotton twill most of the time but it breaks easily since it is always coming undone. If a person is equipped with all this information it should not be hard for them to purchase the custom BJJ Gi.
