  Alcalá del Júcar is situated in the Castile-La Mancha area, and it’s closely three hundred kilometers away from Madrid, circa one hundred kilometers away from Valencia and two hundred kilometers from Murcia. The closest city is Albacete (just half an hour drive away). The city is separated into six areas such like Alcalá, Las Eras, Casas del Cerro, La Gila, Zulema and Tolosa. Most residents live in Alcala (with 725 residents) and the lowest number of residents may be found in Tolosa (only thirty-three persons live there).

City of awesome landscape

Alcalá del Júcar is placed on the river Jucar. It is surrounded with rocky landscape and pine forests. Alcalá del Júcar is located on the peninsula made by the river.

There is an Arabic fortress on the most eminent hill of this city .You may see the entire city from this place and the view is astonishing. Landscape is full of wheat fields, which was then the main source of income for the inhabitants of the city. Furthermore, in the city of Alcalá del Júcar, you may find olive trees everyplace, so you will get the impression that you’re at the seaside.

Tourist attractions

Once you come to Alcalá del Júcar, not one thing will ever seem unusual to you... even houses in Alcala are non-typical. On the southern slope you may find weird houses. Actually they’re not even houses in the real sense of the word, because they consist of the front door and the cave behind the door. There are three cave houses open for populace- “Diablo”, “Masagó” and “Garadén”.

San Andrés is an ancient church. It is not known when precisely the church was built. It is assumed that this occurred amidst the sixteenth and the eighteenth century. It is situated right next to the Arabic fortress.

Alcalá del Júcar is not just another tourist attraction... It is a place with a vivid future.

This rural place, where almost all of the persons are engaged in agriculture and livestock, has evolved into a substantial tourist destination over the years. Today, Alcalá del Júcar is a place that offers quality accommodation, good restaurants, swell amusement, a heap of prospects for sports and a large total of keepsakes. Just 12 years ago, this oasis was unknown to the wider populace and tourists. Today, increasingly persons come to this city in order to receive pleasure from the excellent landscapes, Arabic fortresses, historical monuments and genuine area of Alcalá.
