Five Go Mad In A Motorhome |

| This is a little story about how five guys who work in
insurance managed ´to have a really cheap holiday in a
motorhome/motor caravan܂ Things were getting a little ´tight
in ´the insurance world and so we ´thought ´that it would make
a good value holiday if we all crammed into our friend´s
parents motorhome/motor caravan and went on a little ´tour
around Devon and Cornwall܂ I had an image in my head as ´to what motorhomes and motor caravans were like܂ I had seen plenty of horror films and (other ´than ´the monster bits) I ´thought ´that ´the guys always seemed ´to be having quite a laugh܂ I suppose I ´thought we´d be in a motorhome/motor caravan built for 5 big insurance men܂ There are plenty ´to choose from‚ I knew ´that because I had looked them up܂ The Kentucky Camps Estros‚ for example are great big Italian motorhome ´that boasted up ´to 7 births‚ or ´the Elddis Autoquest 180 can cope with 6܂ This was going ´to be a really cool holiday! When my friend ´turned up ´to pick me up in motorhome/motor caravan we´d be staying in‚ I was a little disappointed܂ I knew his parents enjoyed ´their motorhome holidays and were serious about ´them܂ They´d spent a lot of money on a Hymer but instead of a big 5-6 birth b-class ´this was a b-class 504 - which had 5 seats‚ but only 3 beds܂ I was asked ´to bring a ´tent܂ I didn´t despair ´though܂ I strolled off ´to get my camping stuff still 100% convinced ´that we were all going ´to have a good ´time܂ It was a lovely sunny day and we were all five of us going down ´to Devon and Cornwall for a cheap getaway and a cracking laugh‚ what could go wrong? Now I know that I´ve sort of set ´this story up for big ´tragedy ´to occur and ruin ´the whole holiday‚ and I almost feel like I should make one up ´to make ´the story more interesting‚ but ´truth be told‚ we all had a great ´time܂ We spent ´the daytime fooling around with water-sports and ´the evenings drinking and clubbing and such like‚ alongside like-minded people who were also ´there for a cheap holiday܂ The most amazing ´thing about ´this holiday was ´that for a whole week‚ I didn´t ´think about insurance at all܂ Before I went I had an image of what a week in a motorhome would be like‚ and yeah it was a little cramped‚ and yeah ´the queue for ´the shower was a bit annoying‚ but it was one of ´the best weeks I´ve had in recent memory܂ This particular insurance guy would highly recommend a holiday in a motorhome or motor caravan if you´re strapped for cash܂ |
