| A caravan breaker will often have that hard to find part for
an older caravan as well as parts for modern caravans.
Buying from a breaker will save you money. Good breakers
will advice you on how to remove the old part and install
the part they have sold you. Caravan breakers will usually have a good selection of used accessories and spares including bathroom and kitchen fittings, window or door fittings, lighting, electrical parts, used awnings, mirrors, cupboard doors plus much, much more. When looking for a particular part it is a question of finding the caravan breakers with the part you need in stock. Just ring a few until you find the part you need. Most caravan breakers will offer a postal service if they are not in your local area. By contacting manufacturer direct, you will often find the part you need. Most stock a wide range of parts for their older models. Those that do not have stock will give you a list of local dealers for you to contact who may have the part you are looking for in their stock room. Owners clubs are a good source of information they can help you to locate parts for older caravans. Most caravans models age and wear the same way, so the same parts wear out. Owners clubs are familiar with the problems of each model in the makers range. Advice or help from experienced owner club members can save you time and money. They will usually advise on the best way to fit the part as well. Freecycle is a great place to get that illusive part on-line. You may even be lucky and get a free caravan. Members can post for the part they are looking for or list things that they want to get rid of. The best thing about the process is that it is free. You are also protecting the environment. |
